Cookie StéfanieSo, I am not someone who is crazy for gluten-free in any way, but I realize that a lot of people either choose to eat gluten-free for whatever reason, or just plain can’t eat gluten.

Cookie StéfanieCookie Stéfanie and Bake 2Go are two gluten free bakeries in Montreal that I’ve visited and tried the goods and I can say – yes – they are good.

Cookie Stéfanie is a beautiful bakery in Old Montreal.  The top photo and cupcakes are from their bakery.  Here are a few more of their yummy treats:

4 - Chocolate with Frosting r5 - Brownies r2 - Queen Elizabeth rTheir products can be bought on site or in various spots around town including several Java U’s.  They also can cater to business meetings and offer boxed gifts.

HeaderBaked2Go, although also gluten-free, is a bit of a different concept.  Here the emphasis is on improving the healthiness of the baked product through the use of alternative flours. In addition, the products are rigorously tested and can be consumed by those with Celiac disease.

5 principlesThey also offer high protein goods that will keep you fuller for longer instead of reaching for the vending machine.

breadTheir approach is very scientific and the owner has a masters in food science & technology.

display caseI can recommend either spot if you are craving some gluten free alternatives, or if you require them due to health requirements.

Originally from the prairies and now in Montreal, I love exploring new places, eating great food and modern design. I'm mom of two wild things and paper and cake make me happy. Photographing your cutie family would make me very happy.
