Banksy

Ahh, Banksy… the street artist everyone loves to hate.  Is it because he’s emerged from an underground scene to become famous?  I don’t know but I still think his art is very interesting, and I swear he’s my neighbour because his art seems to be all around me.

His works are harder to find and seem to get vandalised much quicker, allthough some are preserved like the Tesco flag (below) on Essex Road in Islington.  The hooded figure along the canal (below) has been painted over in revenge by Robbo whose piece of art on the canal in Camden Banksy painted over (and then Robbo painted over after!).  See that one above to understand what I am talking about!
