How Good Are You at Making New Friends?

AlexaChunghols1I was reading the fab blog A Cup of Jo the other day and there was a part from her latest “My beauty uniform” post that struck me:

Last fall, I met Cailin at our neighborhood playground. While our kids climbed up the slide, we chatted about books and babies. When it was time to leave, I mustered up the courage to ask for her number. Happily, we’ve been friends ever since!

I’ve made a lot of new friends over the years, but it still seems a bit daunting.  I’m not sure if I’ve ever asked a mom I’d just met in the playground for their number.  It seems super ballsy but pretty cool.  Imagine if everyone did that?  Just think of all the potentially amazing people you could have in your life if you just asked for their number (or email… whatever your fancy).

ps I want every product that she talks about on A Cup of Jo.

I once became friends with another Mother who complimented me on my earrings! It was fun to get to know someone I knew absolutely nothing about….except that she had good taste 😉

Cute! I think compliments are always a good intro because who doesn’t like receiving compliments themselves!!
