Montreal’s Outdoor Fitness Classes

It’s summertime and if I can spend as much time in that glorious sun as possible I’ll be happy.  I especially love working out in the great outdoors.  I used to run a lot outside, even in the hot heat I loved it and I’ve done my fair share of mom and baby stroller fitness outside.

Here’s a roundup of some great outdoor fitness classes in Montreal.  Some of these are for baby & mom, some are not.

Just Feel It Fitness  – Outremont Park – 50 minute outdoor high intensity interval training classes, geared to make you lose inches and have a blast doing it.  Functional strength training, cardio drills, and a lot of core work.

Cardio Plein Air – various – This is a biggie with tons of different programs throughout Montreal.  There’s probably something near you.

Maxine Grossman Personal Training – NDG – All classes are outside when the weather is good.  The studio is right across from Girouard Park so participants can lock up their stuff and then easily take the class across the street.

Playfit – Beaconsfield Centennial Park – PLAYFIT offers outdoor children’s yoga classes at Beaconsfield Centennial Park (ages 4 and up). We also provide toning, conditioning and interval training classes for adults, including pregnant women (strollers also welcome). Their motto is: be fit, have fun!

Studio Vie – NDG/Westmount – Mama Baby Bootcamp will take place outside Mon-Wed-Fri 10:30 – 11:30am.  Saturday, 9am Fit Moms class is also outdoors.

I’m sure there are more out there so if you know of any you’d like me to list just give me a shout!

I just joined the Cardio Poussette with Cardio Plein Air at Parc Lafontaine!
I was a little embarrassed at first to work out with a bunch of women lunging and pushing their strollers, it is a sight to see. In the end it gets me outside and moving with my newborn. 🙂

Yeah, I agree I felt a bit silly at first but soon I forgot and was just happy to be outside and getting some exercise! And I met some great people too.
