With this cold weather I needed a little  bit of the tropics. It’s amazing how it all changes so quickly.  I’m trying to get myself excited about winter but it’s tough.  It’s just so much more of a hassle… snow suits, cold hands, tantrums about wearing toques.  I’ve actually almost finished what turned out to be the worlds most time consuming blog post on winter activities for the under 6 set.  It is due to come out this month – just when we all need a little inspiration.

This weekend we are going to finally go apple picking.  I know we missed last weekend’s magical weather, but hopefully we’ll still have fun.  We’re also catching up with old friends which I’m looking forward to.

What about you guys?  Anyone out there looking forward to embracing the chill?

Have a wonderful weekend

xx Michelle

Two new must-read Montreal blogs I found this week:

Everyday Kosher is wonderful even if you don’t eat kosher (and her instagram feed is lovely)

and

The Book Dumpling will certainly help you find your next book to read.

New fascinating research about childhood asthma and maybe there is a reason kids eat shoes.

This short documentary was wonderful.

This artwork blew me away.

Originally from the prairies and now in Montreal, I love exploring new places, eating great food and modern design. I'm mom of two wild things and paper and cake make me happy. Photographing your cutie family would make me very happy.
