Do you want to know the easiest way to take better photos of you kids?

Catchlights!  These are the white lights you see reflected in my son’s eyes above.  They make his eyes alive and full of expression.  Don’t believe me?

I took this photo of him eating facing away from the light.

I simply turned his high chair so that the light coming in from the window was reflected in his eyes and voila!

These are straight up iPhone pics – no editing was done to show you that although, for sure, these photos would have been improved with a little photo editing, they are pretty good on their own.

All you have to do recreate this is make sure that any light source is reflecting off your kid’s face.  Easy, hey!

And just how cute is it to feed your baby corn on the cob.  Alex LOVES it and he’ll much on it for a good twenty minutes until it’s clean!
