POUTINR – The Poutine Locator! (free)

find on iTunes here

Locate Quebec’s iconic dish with this new bilingual app.  This place only shows restaurants that are open, so if nothing is showing up, maybe it’s 7am.. (I did this!).  I seriously haven’t had poutine for ages, and it really got me craving a good old serving.  Hint: If you press the heart button on the top left it will only show your faves.. and if you have no faves everything will disappear.  Make sure the heart button is off to see all options!

Adbeus Coffee – Locate Montreal’s Best Independent Coffee Shops (Free)

Download here

Montreal has some fantastic coffee shops, and this app comes from the people behind the beautiful Adbeus website which is a curated list of the best independent coffee shops in Montreal.  I found it worked really well.  It immediately listed my two favourite coffee shops on Monkland, Café de Mercanti and Melk and offered a bunch of other suggestions further out.  It’s great because I’m not a big chain coffee gal, and sometimes it’s tough knowing exactly where to go.

Any other apps out there?

Originally from the prairies and now in Montreal, I love exploring new places, eating great food and modern design. I'm mom of two wild things and paper and cake make me happy. Photographing your cutie family would make me very happy.
