La Cardeline La Cardeline La Cardeline La Cardeline La Cardeline La CardelineLa Cardeline La Cardeline La CardelineI had the pleasure of speaking with Virginie Cros, a French native from Marseille, who recently picked up, moved to Montreal and opened up a cookie shop based on the cookie shops found in Provence but with modernized ingredients and techniques.  She offers a selection of cookies based on butter, and another based on a special olive oil which she imports exclusively for her cookies.  They were rich, crumbly and extremely flavourful.  They will also be offering a frozen nougat dessert which is light, yet rich and thick (I know sounds counterintuitive but trust me!)  I loved the frozen dessert and found it very original.

Check out her cookie shop and her fab creations!

Decor: Simple yet functional.  It’s just a counter, and is strictly a to-go establishment.

Service: Cashier service only.

Price: $2.30 for a cookie which is fair.  They are pretty big too!

Good For: Cookies to go!  For a snack, or for an event.  Also, the nougat dessert is great for a hot day.

Baby Friendly:  It’s really just an order counter, so I’d say yes.

  1. Wow, I wish I lived near that. First… it’s cookies. Second, they’re French! Yum. Great photos!

I’m really excited about this place! The cookies look great, and it’s nice to see a place selling more traditional cookies that aren’t the moist & chewy that people have been obsessing over for so long.

Originally from the prairies and now in Montreal, I love exploring new places, eating great food and modern design. I'm mom of two wild things and paper and cake make me happy. Photographing your cutie family would make me very happy.
