This is definitely not your typical Mont-Royal day out. Basically, it was raining and I was desperate for something to do. So many things open at 10:00 which is actually quite late when your kids are up at 6:30 and have lunch at 11:30. Finally I just said, it’s enough get the rain gear and let’s head to Mont-Royal.
The game plan was no game plan. I told my husband we just stick the kids in their rain gear, watch them pick up sticks, play in the dirt and run around. And that’s what they did. And you know what, it was lovely.
There was a beautiful mist coming off the lake, and besides a few intrepid runners we basically had the place to ourselves. The kids had fun, and we all got some fresh air.
And, yes, it’s also beautiful in the sun.
