My little peanut has the driest patch of skin on the side of his mouth (you can just see it above) and sometimes it’s so rough it starts to bleed.
I’ve discovered Matter Company which is an awesome Toronto-based company using natural products. Their baby lip & cheek balm is awesome and I’ve been rolling it onto Alex’s red skin surrounding his mouth. It’s really gotten better and and the smell is lovely. I’m actually kind of in love with their entire line and they have all sorts of mom & baby stuff as well as a fab natural sun care creme (which a lot of you commented about in my sun post).

As you know I am HUGE fan of Honest sunscreen for the kids!
Sutton also had dry patches around his mouth.cheeks and the Dr suggested putting vaseline or something of the like on them while he eats to avoid getting any acidity from the food on it. It really helped.
I love Matter, we used to carry it at Lola & Emily….their organic Rose Hip oil is awesome, I use it daily on my skin.
What a great idea about the vaseline! I am going to start doing that.
I’m definitely going to check out Matter’s Rose Hip Oil – always looking for good beauty recommendations. And, I’ll put the Honest sunscreen on my wish list!
