Little Citizens is a clothing company out of Vancouver that offers 100% certified organic knits that have been made in small batches using water-based inks.  The patters are absolutely adorable and I love the soft use of colours.

I had a hard time choosing some of my favourites.  You really do need to check them all out – it’s all pretty great.

I noticed that the owner, Jenny, was a mom as well as being a business entrepreneur.  Being an entrepreneur is tough and I always admire those who decide to set out on their own.  I asked Jenny for her top tips on being both an entrepreneur and a mom.  Here’s what she had to say.

Tips for Being an Entrepreneur and a Mom from Jenny White at Little Citizens

1. First and foremost, being a mom always comes first.
2. Be proud of what you are doing. Being a mother and a business owner is a huge undertaking and I applaud those who are determined to make it work!
3.  Make a list – it will help you to stay organized and accountable. I always find it helpful to start the week off with a list of goals for the day, week and month ahead.
4. Surround yourself with people who will cheer you on. This can be a community of like-minded mothers, business women, your partner, friends, parents, siblings or social media connections. There will be tough days, moments of doubt and bumps along the way but a strong support system can make all the difference and keep you going when you don’t think you can.
5. Do what you love and love what you do!
Thanks Jenny!

Originally from the prairies and now in Montreal, I love exploring new places, eating great food and modern design. I'm mom of two wild things and paper and cake make me happy. Photographing your cutie family would make me very happy.
