My husband and I fell in love with mid-century modern design while living in London. We were surrounded by so many great design stores (TwentyTwentyOne was just up the road one way and The Lollipop Shoppe the other) that we would spend hours lurking and checking out all the chairs and furniture.  One of the buses we took also cruised through Clerkenwell Road which was full of beautiful design stores and window displays.

We always admired the Hans Wegner CH24 Wishbone Chair which is such a classic and widely copied.

For reasons which I am so excited to announce officially a little bit later on the blog, we are in the market for a set of chairs and table for a kitchen.

I’m thinking this table from Ikea:

Or this option from Structube:

With these chairs:

I would prefer the real deal than a copy, but at $629 a pop I’m afraid they are out of our budget for the moment.

What do you think?

Originally from the prairies and now in Montreal, I love exploring new places, eating great food and modern design. I'm mom of two wild things and paper and cake make me happy. Photographing your cutie family would make me very happy.
