New Year – New Resolutions…

I’m going to talk about some of my new years resolutions next week, but I think something that I always want to be working on is doing fun and exciting activities with the family.  I think it’s fun for my adventurous, energetic and curious son, it’s good for us to try new things as a family, and well, doing activities outside the house let’s me keep my sanity without going house crazy while Bastien rips the place up.

We signed up for swimming lessons on the weekend… I will get Bastien dressed and my husband will take him in the pool.  It will be his FOURTH course already, so needless to say he’s pretty familiar with the water.  I just found that in the winter everyone would inevitably end up a bit wet so it’s best if at least one person is there that’s dry.

He will also continue his gymnastics at Gym Junior in TMR.  He loves hanging off the apparatus and especially the beam.  He goes on it over and over and over (he’s so cute yelling ‘encore! encore!’)

But what else is there to do?  And what about those fun one-off things?  There’s a variety of resources available but I like checking out The Kid Scoop to see what they have on offer.  You can quick search by age, category and activity.  They also have Top Picks, Special Events (including sales!) and articles.  It’s great when you are tearing out your hair thinking – what are we going to do today!!!
